ARB / Shrockworks / Addicted plate : need up close photos

Hello fellas. As listed above: My personal favorites for front bumpers are ARB, Shrockworks & Addicted plate.

My biggest concern is not having ugly open space gaps. My other concern is making sure I can change headlights / corner lamps / grille if need be.

IF you own 1 of the 3, could you please post some up close (with good lighting) photos of your bumpers?:whip:

Search is your friend. Most gaps are caused by body lifts if the bumper is not made to compensate for it.

I have a 1" BL waiting for installation. Trying to get an idea of what I'll be getting into so I won't be surprised.

If you're worried about gap then don't go with an ARB since it's not specifically made for the 4Runner. Also if you're considering a body lift, the Shrockworks (and a few other brands) can be ordered with a BL option so there is no gap.

I have a 1" body lift & orderd the Shrockworks bumper with the 1" body lift brackets. There's no gap.

i'm planning on tending to my gap

but this is just an example of what can happen with a body lift which can happen to any bumper type if you don't plan accordingly.

i must admit you need to modify the TACO ARB bumper for a BL as there is no ARB produced remedy. the other brands will make it easier to install with the appropriate compensation for your BL

you can:
modify the mounts.. cut them, move them up and re-weld
modify the bumper.. new mounting holes for the 6 nuts and bolts that hold the ARB bumper to the mounts...

Like they said, I have a 4x innovations made for a 2" bodylift. There is no gap at all.

Addicted Offroad also gives you an option to have it made for a 1" body lift, I think it's $30 more. They have quite a few really detailed pictures of the bumper on their site.

Good catch, the tube style has been the one I've been eyeing so that's what was in my mind. Luckily, you live here and they could make it to order, it wouldn't be much more work for them to make it work, I'd give Scotty a call and see what he would do for you in that situation, he's an easy going guy.

That's funny because I was in your shoes a year ago and every time I saw a pic of [MENTION=88391]NateMob[/MENTION]'s rig with the AOR I said the exact same thing and then the group buy came along and it was a done deal. :thumb:

We do not do body lift bumpers on our Plate version. Its much too hard to modify each set of wings to add in the height and having 4 jigs for each bumper is counter productive. And, I refuse to raise up the mounting system and winch plate for a body lift. It will add too much leverage on an already inadequate frame when winching.
