ARB Summit Bumper

So did you do the 285 and remove the mud flap and that didn't have any problems?

I ran 285s with no modifications on oem offroad wheel. The trd wheel should be ok too. The 8.5 with offset will require mudflap removal most likely. I run 285 now on a 17x9 -38 offset and it required a body mount chop with that much offset.

Thanks. The installer, 4WP, didn't mention that bracket and I can't find it on the ARB website. Got a part# or link?
I couldn't find this either at the time of install. I mounted mine at an angle, with some scrap aluminum to bolt through to the bumper.

I will check when I get back haven't really measured yet, but shouldn't be much more than 2.5 in front and 3 - 3.5 in back. I used medium spring from wheelers not the heavier one from icon. also have aggressive BMC.

my measurement from garage floor to bottom of fender are:

driver front - 38.75"
passenger front - 38.75"

driver rear - 40.375"
passenger rear - 40.5

this is with about a half a tank of gas.

No problem i'll post some pictures as soon as I can. Happy to contribute some after reading and learning a ton of stuff on here.

ok, so the Summit does not fit the LE? is that just because of the bumper dimensions? surely there's nothing underneath that causes trouble? but the deluxe fits the LE as is (as it does the 10-13 models)?

and the Summit rear bumper does not fit any of the 4Rs? that's a good looking rear bumper, but I guess there are other options available.

For those with the summit installed, how far out does the bumper sit in comparison to the trim near the wheel well? I feel like mine should be pushed out a bit more, but the shop who installed said it won't move anymore. If going over a bump/etc. the aerial brackets rub the plastic bit underneath.

Thanks for sharing the picture. I saw a few others with side shots, not many with it straight on.

I think mine is mounted too low. There's the extra bit of the plastic bumper above the ARB bumper, where all the other pictures seem to not have this. I think if that top plastic bit is removed and the bumper is mounted higher, that would fix the issue.

Yeah you can see allpro has no factory front bumper clipped onto the fender behind the headlight. His bumper sits just below the fender. You can see the black plastic part you clip the front bumper into. Looks like it's too low. Didn't think that would be possible TBH.

It it might also just be angled down towards your rear tire. IDK if that is possible either but it looks like it's on an angle with the fender instead of parallel along the horizontal axis of the bodyline.

I think that's exactly it. I brought it back in to the shop who install and had them change the angle to point down more to clear the top so the aerial brackets weren't rubbing. Didn't occur to me until seeing other pictures that mine was too low.

I have a set of McQueen fenders on order so they'll have to remove the bumper to install anyway. Hopefully they fix it (correctly) this time.
