Thanks. Going to just modify the ome part. Will weld a 5 inch piece of flat steel below the tube and then grind off the tube to get the clearance.

Just wanted to thank everyone who chimed in on this thread!!!! I had the same problem with my Fox 2.5 coilovers!!! Swaybar was against the coil without the relocation kit and hit the driver's side tension bracket with the relocation kit installed. The supplied spacers didn't help and I didn't want to add more.

Thread revival-ish ..... does the FJ kit work for the 4runner?
Reason I'm asking is because I have no need for the swaybar relocate kit - I have kings and the reservoir brackets relocate the swaybar already.

need to look for a FJ install sheet for their kit and see if the bracket is vf60050027
although i think they don't have this issue. I think when i originally bought my bp-51, it came with a FJ cruiser front kit, which didn't have the piece you need.
Found this old thread and just ordered this kit hoping it does the trick. Had my 2019 4Runner non-KDSS lifted with Icon stage 2 this week at a local shop. Was perplexed when I noticed they had dropped the radiator supports by adding spacers/washers. Is this normally required when using Icon lifts on the 4Runner?

thats what some places do to give the sway bar more space. This kit will do the trick.
Thanks Ray I appreciate the response. Is that OEM part just a radiator brace or does it serve a suspension purpose? Also Just to confirm I just need to do the drivers side and passenger is good to go with the OEM?

yes you only need 1 of the braces. its supposed to have structural purposes unless your replacement skid plate is designed to be used without the radiator brace.

So I have had no luck finding this kit that shows the bracket (possibly picture is of FJ kit). Anyone order recently? Link or info would be appreciated. I did the 2.5 icons with the washers as spacers and it barely hits bracket on drivers side.

Bumping this thread *hopefully*, because I’m in the same boat. 2020 TRD O/R with no kdss. Kings 2.5”. I just ran out to grab some fender washers to attempt a quick fix so I can at least drive her. I never got a drop kit or anything with my suspension.

Yeah, I ended up just throwing a stack of washers on each of the four bolts going through the skid plate. The front two go through the infamous skid plate/radiator support brackets. I think I used 8 washers stacked up to get about an inch of space in there.
My plan is to just weld the washers up to make it easier for oil changes until I find a skid plate that has a door for the oil filter.
Works just fine. No need to buy any kit of any kind.
