I have a 2005 V8 4Runner with a JBL head unit with navigation. The screen is dead, but it is outputting audio, so I assume repairing it would be more of a hassle then its worth. I have been looking at other non-navigation JBL toyota heads and was curious if switching between two different JBL style heads was plug and play? I'm trying to keep it cheap but functional. I don't have Aux input, but that would be nice.
Are different JBL Heads interchangable?

It seems to me that they would be. I remember a post a while back where someone had swapped in a JBL/Nav unit from a later Scion for the Bluetooth/Aux functionality, and it was plug-n-play.
That said, if you do swap yours out and are going to toss it, might I borrow it first? I'm trying to diagnose something in my system and trying a different HU would rule out some suspicions
