Are OME 880s side specific?

Not to confuse things (I have 881/906 but it's been awhile...), but measuring the spring is more important than what the labels say, as the driver-side spring should be the taller of the 2 by a bit to compensate for battery/driver/fuel load. I remember reading somewhere (search these forums) that some OME for the Australian market have driver/passenger labels reversed because they run RHD vehicles.......
Sry - I reread your question. What year is your Runner? I assumed you were running the 906 in the rear, but maybe
not....
One more thing - LOL - so I clicked on your profile in case you had some model year info inf there and I noticed that one of the foum vulture scammers messaged you & was trying to get you to buy something from his friend - 99% sure this is a racket. Had one of them on me a while back, too.

Haha thanks man. I have a 2001. I have 906s and 880s waiting to be installed tomorrow. The 906s are different in height as expected, and I will pots the taller on the driver's side. I also expected one of the 880s to be taller for the drivers side, but they appear to be identical. I just wanted to make sure that is how they are supposed to be.
And thanks for the heads up on the potential scammer.

For the N185 4Runner and J95 Prado, it is common for OME to provide equal length coil springs for the front while the rears have different coil spring lengths. dunno if this applies to other vehicles

Just to close this off - the 880s are not side specific, but the 906s are. Wheeler's said they used the 1/4" spacer for the front drivers side strut. I didn't install one - there may be a very slight lean to the driver's side in the front, but I don't really notice it say I may just leave it.

If I remember correctly, the left is about 3/16" taller than the right on the 880's.
I'm certain that all OME springs are side specific due to weight distribution of the vehicle (assumes gas tank and driver is on one side). Hence the company also produces 10mm coil spacers.
Again - the 880s I received for the front were identical, and the 906s for the rear were side specific. I got an email from Wheeler's off road confirming this, which is why they recommend a spacer for the driver's side front. Their word and my experience is good enough for me, but the next best thing would be to contact the company that makes OME 880s if someone still has any doubts.
