Are the TRD Pro Coilovers Adjustable?

I'm NOT an expert, but I think the TRD pro front shocks are based on the Bilstein 5100 series - which has four adjustible tabs - I think for nominal, 1", 2", 2.75 or so inch of lift. Toyota has done a 1" lift for the TRD pro, and has helpfully deleted the upper two mounting tabs so you can't do any more lift.

I've got a 2016 TRD pro myself - I've added a shrockworks front bumper and Warn 9.5 xp winch. The front end now sags by about 1" from where it was, and I just want to get it back to original height.

Does anyone know if you can retrofit the Bilstein 5100 shock with the Toyota spring and accessories? If not, what is the best leveling kit for a 1" lift overall (which is 1/2" on the shock proper)?

Thanks, and best of luck!

No, the Pro springs have a larger shock body and different valving than the 5100s.

You need new springs, not additional perches on your shocks. You have added a ton of weight to your front end.

Don't hold me to this but I believe I read somewhere in here that the 4Runner factory front springs had 2 different part numbers, and that the driver's side is slightly stiffer. But it has been several months since I read that.

The answer depends on the year. There have been a number of different coilover sets used in 4runners. For a period of time the Trail w/ KDSS had it's own unique left and right set of shocks/springs. Then Toyota started using the same on both sides and the same shocks/springs as the SR5. The Limited has its own different springs as well. And it varies by year. If you look up the current parts diagrams it will be consistent as the part numbers for current parts are listed retroactively, but the parts that came on the vehicles with KDSS were not the same as they currently are listed. The older catalogs will have different part numbers. This is as recent as 2015 having different factory installed coilovers as the current ones. So - basically it's been a bunch of slightly different sets over the years, but they're all pretty much the same. KDSS inherently tends to lean to the passenger side while nonKDSS leans a bit to the driver's side with the same springs all around.
