Are wheel spacers really worth it?

Are wheel spacers really worth it? i have the money for spidertrax now but are they really worth it??? does it make a huge difference in the stance of the truck? i have other things that i could spend the spare cash on but these have been waiting in line of my things i want once i get extra spending cash. thanks.

I'm gonna put on spacers when my car is out of warranty and when I need tires. At that point, I won't care if the bearing life is shortened.

All Pro now has the Toyota spec. hubcentric spacers on their site: 1.25 and 1.5".

Things only void warranty if they lead directly to the failure. Will it void warranty on wheel bearings and studs? Definitely. Will it void a warrant on your radio or transmission? Definitely not.

he told me that. on the site it shows a 1/2 in difference. but he said it was the body that makes it that way. the wheels are even. so the rear would be wider if we did different size spacers.

Ha! I put on FJ wheels which I think have a 1/4-1/2 difference, and I thought that was huge when I got the truck back.

After first installing, that is correct, the measurements showed the wheels inset more than the front and I though I might prefer different sizing front and rear. Its the flares that are causing that difference as the trac width is the same front and rear. If you were to look from the back at the upper portion of the mud flaps the wheels with the spidertrax are flush with them at that point. Either I didnt know about the all-pros 1.5" spacers at the time or they are relatively new, but if I know that someone made a hub centric spacer that was a little larger than the spiders i would have went with them. The 1.25" spiders appear to be perfect for the 03-05 crowd. That said at this point I would a) want to run a little wider out back than front or b) want to remove the threadlocked spiders for the slightly wider all-pro's. The 1/4" difference it to small to go thru the effort and expense to change them out. If I was starting from scratch I would probably go with them.

From what I see on the 03-05's probably not. Can you take some "before" measurements like I did on my site and post up the figures? If I was going to do this over as someone with the wider 06-09 flares in which the rear flares are slightly wider than the fronts, yes I might try it, but like I said the 1/4" diff isn't really going to be that noticeable.
