ArmorAll Tire Foam & Wheel Cleaner

My mom bought me both the Armor All tire foam and the wheel cleaner. Just wondering if these products are safe to use on my 2004 SR5. If so, can I use them everytime I wash my car, which is once every two weeks? Anyone know if these products have silicone in them?

yea..you can use them as much as you want as far as i know. the tire cleaner however u may want to use when real dirty. i have found out that soap and water does the trick just as well. you also dont want to use too much tire shine because i could come off and spray onto your paint as you drive

I stopped using silicone base tire dressing. It will eventually turn your tires brown. I've also heard negative reports on the Armor All wheel cleaner.

Try and find a non-silicone based rubber dressing like Griot's. Griot's wheel cleaner is also BBS certified and really cleans up the rims nicely.

Brown Tires

Tire dressings do not turn your tires brown! The brake dust and road grime do. The dressings just attrack the stuff. I do not believe in wheel/tire cleaners and always use tire dressings and my tires never turn brown. Using a Spray Nine or Simple Green and a scrub brush on my tires (and chrome rims-do not use on aluiminum rims since it will scratch the clear coat) before washing the vehicle. Then hose off, wash the rest of the vehicle and wash the tires and rims with a sponge and car wash soap. Let dry and add tire dressing. Rims and tires look great when done. Wheel cleaner works good on the inner fenders!

Can I use Griot's Vynil and Rubber Tire Dressing on my dashboard and such?

Absolutely. I use the Vynil and rubber dressing on tires, and interior EXCEPT leather.

The Griot's, being non-silicone based and containing UV protection is why it great to use.
