At what age should people stop driving?

I was going to say that it is hard to "target" a specific group based on generalities of AGE or type of Vehicle they drive. I have 18 years commercial driving with over 2 million logged verifiable miles with 1 ticket and no accidents. I even have 80k miles in a combat zone. Like the other Proffesional drivers mentioned earlier bad drivers are all around and from to broad a spectrum.

I also totally agree with a "Practical Skills test" system instead of this assumption that if you have a fairly clean record they just auto renew. I would say that you get one or two automatic extensions but then on the thrid term (every 10-12 years) you have to go in and take a skills test. Also have the option to skip this by taking an advance skills driver safety course similar to what they offer and mandate Motorcycle operators and Commercial drivers take.

Our society has been so "dumbed down" that nobody knows - or cares - how to drive safely, swifty and efficiently anymore.:sadwave:

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!.

This society has made a point of encouraging, coddling & nurturing stupidity for several generations now, in a myriad of ways. From the welfare system to the governments themselves, at both state & federal levels, we have insulated people from the consequences of their own stupid decisions. We need to stop this.
