Thanks for looking for me. From what I can tell I think when the previous owner put the scoop together they didn't have the proper "rivets" to go through the inner holes on the scoop so they used some sort of a self tapping screw to mount the mesh part. This isn't too big of a deal, just something I noticed while inspecting everything. From my research I think the holes in the back there are for drainage. I can't see daylight per se through mine, but if I shine a flashlight in the scoop I can see light coming through the holes. Apparently some people fill the drain hole on the underside. I may do the same when I take mine out to paint it which I most likely do. Right now I'm thinking I'll paint it the same satin color I used on the mesh in my Satoshi and my wiper arms. I'd also plan to get a small piece of mesh that matches my Satoshi and put it in the scoop like BigFishAllDay did to his. It's the small details like that that I notice.

Silver Sport Hoods

If someone will buy one or both of these Millennium Silver Sport hoods between now and Saturday morning I will be able to go out Saturday and find more 4Runner parts that people need. I've gotten pretty good at finding stuff. I have my eye on some pristine 2000 headlights I want to grab as well as some other things. If I don't sell at least one of these Silver hoods I will not have the money to go out and get anything this weekend. If you have been on the fence about getting one of these hoods give me a text or call at 979-574-2070 - you will be helping out me and your fellow forum 4Runner owner.

Btw, man. I was actually putting the cash together to buy the nicer hood, but after checking my color code I realized that I actually have a Desert Dune 4runner. I just thought it was Millenium Silver.

Had it been Desert Dune, I was ready to pay up.

Since you will never find a Desert Dune Sport hood (they only came in black, green, silver, gray, red and blue you might as well buy the cheaper Silver OEM Sport hood for $315. You can paint it flat black now (with a Desert Dune color coordinated insert) and worry about color matching it later.

I can hold it for you for the next time I am in Dallas or for when you are in my neck of the woods.

The cheaper Silver hood was SOLD to Jeff from Killeen, Texas for $315.

Loaded up the (SILVER 002) hood and headed to Milano, Texas (Alyssa was not there)

Met Jeff in Milano with his 1998 Desert Dune 5-Speed 4x4 Supercharged 4Runner + ARB Bumper. Jeff will probably be joining the forum soon.
