Attn: Scanguage II Owners!

Hoping my first thread on the forum here is of benefit to a lot of you!

Over the last few months I've been working with the great people over at Scanguage trying to get some new software codes for our 5th gens. One feature I wish the vehicle came with stock is the ability to read out the Tire Pressure on the dash. I emphasized how beneficial this could be for all 5th gen owners when airing down, airing back up or just seeing where your PSI stands day to day without having to pull the gauge out.

Well the engineers at Scanguage delivered just that which works with OEM TPMS sensors! After a week of testing it out I can attest to the accuracy of the software by comparing to the hand gauge multiple times.

The people at Scanguage would like to extend the offer to any 5th gen Scanguage II owner to send in their system and get the software installed for free. Below is the email I received from the tech support rep with the details.

Anybody that is interested in monitoring the tire pressure on their 4Runner (2008 and newer) will need a special software to monitor this. They can send their units into our office for a free update since this software is still in the testing phase. Please let them know to have their unit sent to:

Linear Logic
Attn: Toyota Tire Pressure
2222 S Dobson Rd
Suite 800
Mesa AZ 85202

Make sure to address it to Attn: Toyota Tire Pressure and/or include a note mentioning interest in testing the tire pressure in Toyota. Also, include name, contact information, and shipping address.

Just emailed them to make sure and here is the response!

No, they do not need to contact us. Just make sure to let anybody know who is interested in the XGauges to send the unit to “Attn: Toyota Tire Pressure” and/or include a note mentioning interest in testing the tire pressure in Toyota.

I believe the Tire Pressure XGauges we've come up with will work on Tacoma's from 2006 - 2015. If your Tacoma is within that range, feel free to send it in and we'll update it.

I think there's a decent chance what we've come up with will work on most Toyota's with TPMS. If anyone has a non-4Runner Toyota/Lexus/Scion with TPMS feel free to contact us at [email protected] to ask about updating their unit for free to test out what we have. Would love to test this out on as many Toyota/Lexus/Scion vehicles as possible so we can be sure it works well.

I am actually not sure, from what they've told me it is still technically the "testing" phase so hopefully soon this will be a full production. I Would like to see a way to simply plug in your scanguage to your computer and download specific codes for your particular vehicle. You may be able to reach out and order one with the specific code for it! Happy to help out!

To my knowledge not at the moment, mentioned just above I would love to see a computer plug in and ability to download a specific vehicles codes. Maybe a new updated model with a USB instead of Ethernet style connection.

I believe so. The parameter ID supports 5 tires. The vehicle I had to test on was simply reading 0 PSI for tire 5, but that's because it didn't have a spare I assume.

I'll send the XGauge for Tire 5 Pressure to ehcanadian see if it works.

Sure! I'm going to be out of town until Monday, but if you want to stop by this week I'll make sure to let our staff know how to get your unit updated to this experimental firmware. We're open 8AM - 4PM.

OEM wheels for 4th gens do and seems Scanguage stated 2008 and up, this would include 2008 and 2009 4th gens.

Honestly, not sure about OEM 5th gen, 2010+, wheels.

I’m in either way. Will send my Scanguage in.
