Audio Components Help Wanted

Hello all, brand new member and I have been reading through a good deal of these forums and there is a hell of a lot of information here in regards to nothing but 4Runners. It is surprising the amount of people here helping each other out.

Now that that is out of the way I am in need of some help in regards to my 4Runner. I have a '99 Limited 4Runner and have been debating on my own whether or not to get Focal speakers on it. I have been led away and brought back into getting them installed but I keep having second thoughts. Also people try to lead me to other speaker brands. So I am wondering what brands are on your 4Runner.

One more thing does anyone know what the 4Runner stock speaker sizes are? I thought the front ones were 6.5" and the rear ones were 4"? If anyone knows the correct sizes please let me know so when I purchase my components i'll have the info handy. Thanks all.

In my sig is what I have!! The fronts are 6.5 and the rears are 6.5 as well at least I think, its what I installed. Brands, that can be a touchy topic.

Ok, Focal is definitely one of the top of the line brands. I've installed them before into different vehicles, really amazed me how they sound.

Let me know what you are comparing them to and I can let you know, The previous poster has diamond audio, which is also one of the top brand names. They are also one of the best and I would recommend them too.

i am currently comparing the Focals to Rockford Fosgates according to some Joe and some mom and pop shop. He try to get me into financing and all that mess but i dont need to finance im fine without it.

Thanks for the size check. Now ill have to see the pricing on these Focals now.

Focal's are one of the best you can get...I personally run Focal Utopia 165W for my fronts.. Recently upgraded from the Diamond's and what a difference...

yeah, don't compare the focals to the rockford fosgate components....

definitely go with the focals....

MB quart is another good one to go with also if your interested in it.

personally i think some of the brands mentioned above are all very good. I ran into some great deals w/ Kenwood, so that's what direction i took. i haven't yet found the time to replace the stock speakers yet, but they way it sounds right now doesn't bother me so it might be a while yet.
