My 13 Limited is on its second set of auto running boards. The original set was replaced under warranty in 2015. Now for the past 3 years, I cannot the running boards top operate properly (stuck in , stuck out, one side stuck, one side stays extended, stuck halfway....you name it). I did all the reset methods (auto/off 5 times method, lubricated all joints, unhooked battery 4 hours...etc).
I'm thinking of trying to replace ECU. I believe it is behind the interior drivers side fuse box. Should I buy the ecu from Toyota or try to get one from AMP directly?
I would like the boards to work properly.Last resort would be trying to get both extended and pull the fuse.
