Aux volume different than other settings?

I have an '07 4R with the 6 disc in-dash CD player (not the JBL) and just noticed that my volume settings stay the same accross all of the settings (AM, FM and CD) but it does not stay the same on the Aux setting. For example, if I change the volume to 25, it will be there on all of the modes I change to, except the Aux mode.

I'm pretty sure this was not the case when I had my first stereo (I've already had it replaced due to CD's being exjected randomly) so maybe I didn't notice it, but I think it is the new stereo. Is this normal and I just never realized it before?

Check the volume on whatever you have plugged into the AUX jack. I have my iPod plugged into it, and I have the iPod itself turned all the way up.

The AUX takes on the volume settings of the electrical device, whether it's an ipod, iphone, or cd player, doesn't matter.

Really??? I'll give it a try, but I can still control the volume on the head unit separately than with my iPod. And when I noticed the difference in settings, nothing was plugged in. I'll give it a whirl though....

I understand what you guys are saying, and that is if the device you have plugged in has a lower volume setting, it will be lower coming through the radio. What I am referring to, is the actual volume number that the head unit is displaying. For example, I can raise the volume to 20 on CD, and that will be the same setting when I change to AM and FM, but the Aux setting will remain at 10. It is as if there are two separate volume settings: one for Aux, and one for every other mode.

Your radio is not messed up, it is normal for the aux option to have a different volume setting than all the rest on a T4R. Mine really doesn't bother me but it is definitely not messed up thats just how its supposed to be.

Also if you have a ipod hooked up and the bitrate is kinda high ( louder, more bass etc....) you can decrease the bass level on the aux....but when you turn to cd or stereo it will be where you left it....its like the aux has its own fuctionallity
