Auxiliary/Dual fuel tank for 3rd Gen 4Runners

Hello all
I would like to share this Russian site link that shows how the colleagues there add a somewhat OEM auxiliary tank from the Land Cruiser 90 which is pretty much the same frame and suspension as the 3rd Gen 4Runners. It adds another 24gallons, with OEM parts and some modifications. I know that gas is cheap in the US compared to this part of the world, but the info is priceless.

It shows part numbers and how-to's for installing it in place of the rear tire carrier. You have to relocate the spare tire.

It is in Russian, so you can use Chrome translate function which gives a pretty decent translation, and it has PICTURES.

Also - here is another link like toyodiy - ??????-??????? ????????? Toyota/Lexus. which has pictures and diagrams. I hope I am not braking any forum rules here!

Interested. I’m still trying to get use to going from a 2106 F150!lariat with a 36 gallon gas tank to something that tells me I need gas st 13 gallons.

Wow, that's a lot of work just to carry more gas. I would think just filling up some jerry cans and fabbing up a trailer hitch rack or roof rack would me much more cost effective.

That would be very expensive to purchase the parts and ship to the US. Last time I looked the cheapest I could find just the filler valve assembly is about $450 before shipping.
