Average price for trd springs and shocks?

I found a guy on Craigslist selling 05 Tundra Trd shocks with the stock Bilsteins. 50k on shocks and springs. He's asking $150 does that sound ok?

Up to you. If you are comparing to brand new, that's a good deal. However you won't know how much wear is on the parts until you put them on your own rig. I don't think they will ride like brand new.

Based off my experience with Craigslist, if it seems too good to be true, it is. Chances are they are at the end of their life and worn out. Why would he sell it in the first place? Unless he's just parting out a wrecked rig or something.

If he provided photos, I would look over them. If they are beat up or destroyed on the outside, the insides probably aren't much better. If the seller did not provide any photos, I wouldn't promise anything till you see items in person.

I really never understood people installing old used parts to lift our trucks. Yes its cheap but so is a body lift.

IMO only new OEM parts should be used. Its what I did and it rides like new. My rear 7 wraps give me more lift than Ive seen some guys with used 8 wraps.

I think it all comes down to used parts are cheaper than new. Sometimes much, much cheaper. Maybe the OP is in a bind and short on cash, but wants to start building up their rig? It's not a bad place to start, as long as he doesn't get ripped off with bad parts.

I understand but suspension wears out. Its not as bad but like buying used brakes, or used spark plugs, or used spark plug wires. If you are on that much of a budget maybe building a lifted rig is not in the books. I would never go and buy $150 used up springs like that for my rig unless the donor vehicle was under say 80k miles. Toyotas seem to get real bouncy around then.

I don't personally own Bilsteins, so hoping someone else can now chime in on their condition, longevity, etc.

The coils look to be in good shape at least, but as far as how much they have compressed (i.e. lost lift) is anyone's guess.

I'm just looking to slowly build my rig. I have a 3 month son so my time and money is somewhat taken. I'm saving to buy the 5100s with 906 rear springs. I called the stealershipand they want 289+tax per coil. Figured I could buy these and save some cash.

It's not as bad as you're making it out to be. There are plenty of used parts out there that aren't even close to being worn out.

I went used and money is not an issue. I can't stand dealerships and how bad they gouge people. As much compression as I had to put on my springs to assemble them on new shocks I can assure you that there's plenty of life left in them.

OP I gave $100 for my springs from a wrecker. They came with the yellow Bilsteins, but I wanted the adjustable 5100s.

when my buddy and i pulled them from a junkyard they were $90. those are the wrong springs and shoks too. personally i say just get the eibach coils from toytech, and the tundra 5100s.

If im not mistaken, those are the double cab trd springs. Still work but a little stiffer.

new would be wonderful. 7 wraps...are you talking tundra's or LC's? I don't know anything about tundra stuff but have wanted 7 wrap LC's for a long time. if i had a part number it would be a done deal and my runner wouldn't sit so low.
