Awesome Story - Helped out by a fellow Yota Owner

So me and my buddy are putting in my new gauges. Which are awesome BTW...Anyways, after a very long install process(I barely did anything, and he's got no real experience) we got them in. Since you have to tap into the parking lights' wiring, the left corner light was out. So it was to be the last thing put back on the car. He left the screw in, so we had to take it out to put on the corner light. When he took it out, it fell.

We lost the screw. So, he ziptied the light, and we drove to Autozone(it was about 1am, and there is 1 Autozone around here that's open 24/7). Anywho, we tried some screws, but nothing worked. Well, there was this late 80s early 90s Tacoma, sitting there with huge wheels, lowered, A pillar gauges and a monster tach.

Turns out that guy was right behind us smoking in front of Autozone, talking to someone on their smoke break. He asked us what was wrong, then proceeded to go into his truck.

He found the exact screw in his glove box, and screwed in my corner light, just like that. One of the coolest things I've had happen to me.

So if you see a 'yota owner in trouble, don't be afraid to help out.

Why didn't you just take a screw out of the cover on the other side, so you could more easily find a match in the store?

I've given jump starts, not just to toyota owners. As long as they don't look dangerous, and i'm not in a hurry, i'd pull over to help out.

I know what the screw looks like, they didn't have any that would match.

I've lost the same screw on the opposite side when I put in my clear corners. Had to use one of those magnet-on a stick things to get it out from under the airbox.
