back door blocks wiper, washer fluid and defogger

Hello all,

I bought a used 2005 4runner sport V8.

The motor for back door windows has completely broken, and the dealer has completely removed this motor from back door.

But the problem is: if the computer thinks that the back door windows has not been completely closed, the back windshield wiper, the pump of washer fluid and back defogger stop to work.

Several weeks ago, the toyota dealer did something to have the computer "think" that the back door has completely closed and all of these worked. Nevertheless, all of these stop to work from last Friday.

I tried two garagists, they could not resolve this problem. And Toyota Dealer is so far from my home.

Any suggestion?

I'm not sure how far away the dealer is but I would think the work is warrantied. Have you tried calling them and see if there's something like a battery reset that would work? (disconnect the battery for 10 mins).

Sorry I can't offer more help. I'd try calling the dealer and finding out what they did to reset the rear hatch. Hopefully someone on here with firsthand experience can chime in.
