Back seat swap

Here's what I mean about the Surf back seats - when you pull the release knob up, it raises the inner teeth in the pic below so you can choose one of 3 positions for it to latch to (the seat is folded down in the pic):

I dunno why my pics aren't being rendered here anymore. They used to work fine. I think the fotothing hosting policy must have changed because all my pics appear to vanish.

Has anybody swapped a 2001-2002 rear seat into a 96-98? I'm wanting to put a rear seat in my 98 so it has the safety anchor and tethers for my daughters forward facing car seat. Any help or advice would be appreciated!
