back up lighting

i was wondering if anyone has ever put a fog light type of light in the back maybe under the bumper as a reverse light. my windows are just about limo in the back and is hard to see sometimes when i'm backing up at night.

That will help with more lighting, but if you do any wheeling, it decreases your clearance in the rear, not to mention ripping the entire light assembly off your bumper if your approach angle is to high.
 
I put a light under the back of my rig. I used one of the $10 rubber housing farm/tractor type lights form Pep Boys. The bolt fit perfectly in a free threaded hole on the drivers side frame in the back. You can adjust it up out of the way when wheeling or point it side to side if needed. I put the switch in the blank space near the AC button left of the searing wheel. I can't post pix(too big) but If you give an e-mail I will be glad to send a few of my set up.

Sorry I have been told my pix are too big. Not clever on the computer. Sorry. I wish I could. but if you want then e-mailed I will be glad to send a few or if you could walk a computertard through the process of posting.........

This forum requirement is 140Mb, so that what I do with my pictures. I'm opening them in any image program (at last, any Windows does have "Paint") and resizing it until they will be 140Mb.
 
Sorry, 140Kb of course.
Resize in "Paint" is [CTRL] + [W], then choose same % for horizontal and vertical.

By the way, Colemanfu, could you post some images of your 3" Revtek Lift + 275/70R17 tires?

You can see it as I got up the hill. You may not be able to see it but I removed all the towing suff and tucked it up nice and clean. I think there was one other thing I removed but can rememer.

One hot wire and the ground is on the bolt. I have 2 identical lights on the frame just befor the doors facing to the side. Still adjustable so you can fine tune the light.

Here is the switch. Out of the way and off to the side. Lights up when in use. I have the switch for the front and side light in the 2 spots on the CC. Easy reach. Can you tell I am geeking out now that I can post pix!

what did you use to mount the front lamps? and thanx for the pics of the light in the rear underneath. can you post a pic with it on at night if you have one?
