Backcountry Camping Summer Solstice and Full Moon

Spent 3 days in the in the mountains exploring trails, fishing and enjoying the longest day of the year with the full moon, over the campfire. Had a bit of rain other than that perfect weather and from what I read, a once in a lifetime experience for us being we will not see another full moon on the longest day of the year in my neck of the woods during my lifetime.

that was an awesome night, and both sides of it - sky has been crystal clear here w/ very low humidity - guessing Calgary area the same ( I'm in south central MT). With full moon didn't seem like we had night at all - I didn't see western sky night before but eastern sky was getting light at 3:30 that morning.

Again, I see couple rib eyes for the starving dogs, but no fish on the grill.

Thank you, and pretty easy to make, I went to every outdoor store looking for a good tripod type grilling surface, all were cheaply made and would not of lasted a season. So rebar, chain, carabiners and a grill and perfect cooking surface.

It was catch and release where we were, so no fish for the grill, will probably head to a back country lake tomorrow to make up for it with some cut throat trout.
