I'm running 1.25" Spidertrax wheel spacers with my stock Sport wheels which gives it a nice stance. Tires are 285/70/17 Cooper STT's.
I'm thinking about buying new rims with a deep lip and I want the same stance I have now but I want to lose the spacers. It seems like a 4.5" backspacing and 0 offset is the setup of choice from reading a lot of threads, but I don't really understand how offset directly related to how much lip you get......does 5" of backspacing equate to more of a deep-dish look than 4.5"? What does the offset have to do with it? I gues I'm asking, how deep of a lip can I get before it becomes a problem with clearing brake calipers? I also don't want my tires sticking any farther outside of the wheel well than they are already with the spacers installed. Thanks in advance!
