Backup LED lights upgrade

I found these 350 lumen replacement bulbs but at $19.95 each, just checking to see who has made this upgrade and where did you get the bulbs, specs and cost?

I don't believe Rigid makes replacement bulbs for your stock reverse lights? Correct me if I'm wrong but they have noting like this on their site.

Ha yea being a bit facetious but seriously an LED swap won't turn the lights on for backing up. Resolution on the cam just isn't good enough.

Being serious, the rigid inserts by cutting into the bumper is your best shot if you're looking to throw out some noticeable light.

I recently bought and installed the 921 Putco Plasma LED Replacement bulbs from Xenon Depot and have to say what a disappointment. I find very little added light for when backing up a trailer.
I'm currently looking at buying the Tail as Turn module from Diode Dynamics. This changes the rear turn signal bulb into an additional backup bulb and uses the brake light as a turn signal.
I have been paying attention on the roads and noticed that Dodge Ram and Ford F150 have the brake light also as a turn signal using the same bulb and only one bulb in the housing.

Check out diode dynamics website and on youtube. It's called turn-as-tail light kit might just be what your looking for. Thinking about getting these for mine.

I had actually tried the Philips LED's for the interior lights and was disappointed. Check out the pics in The Idiot Thread, initial pics of stock, then the Philips, and finally the JDM ASTARs. Huge difference in the light output of the JDM ASTARs vs Philips.

Backup light

In the process of making a rear step-bump bar to install in hitch receiver. It's all stainless, have the basic bar done. Going to install some kind of backup lighting in it. Probably going with the Ridged Radiance , red back-light in either the 10" or Pods. Two pods are cheaper but the 10" may work a little better for what I've got in mind.
