Pull your dipstick and oil fill cap and check the condition of the oil. If it looks like chocolate milkshake (or coffee with tons of cream), then you have coolant in your oil.

I have seen lower radiator hoses colapse and restrict coolant
flow.

So $508 later the Toyota is running like a champ! The belt to the Water pump broke, Themostat, radiator cap! You guys were right! Now I enjoy what I have left of my Alaskan Summer! Thanks again everyone!

$508!! For about $35 worth of parts from Napa, and 1 hr of labor for a first timer.
Chances are, you didn't even need a new cap or thermostat. If the belt to the water pump was gone, that alone would have done it. Could have saved about $350 if they only would have done the belt.

Anyway, live and learn. Glad your back on the road!

They told me that right when I got there! They were like new thermostat, and cap. I just had them do it! Also they did a coolant flush!

The radiator would clog up in my old 86 that I used to have. This would send the temps sky high.

I would have to take the radiator down to the shop every 3-5 years and have them rod the thing out. After that thing would be great.
