Badland Offroad Winch 12,000 lb w/Shrockworks bumper

Is anyone else running with this setup? I'm really starting to look into getting a winch and it just seems that you can't beat the value for this winch. I am 50/50 on buying stuff from Harbor Freight because... it's Harbor Freight. Their products are great for getting the job done once. However, all the reviews for this winch are absolutely fantastic and the price is amazing. Does anyone have any experience with this winch? Anyone have it installed in the Shrockworks bumper?

Any sort of details would be greatly appreciated.

Can't comment on their particular model but I've been through a few smaller Badlands winches, bought after tons of good reviews, for one of my tractors. Luckily I also got the extended warranty.

Personally I would save my $ and buy one from the reputable big boys. Remember, you really need the winch to work only after you tried everything else.

I was e-mailing Mark from Shrockworks about it this morning as well. It seems like the easiest thing to do as far as making sure it fits and having a quality winch is to get a warn or ramsey.

I had a 12000 lb one on my Sierra HD. Bought it for about 300 bucks.

Pulled a small John Deere tractor out of a ditch with it, also dragged the truck and trailer (close to 9500 pounds) about 30 feet thru a mud patch. Also used it to unstick the truck from mud in and around my property...

Should have pulled it when I sold the truck.

HF made the winch knowing full well that they have a reputation for being "that crappy Chinese tool company." I think it's one of those Hyundai motors watershed moments where they actually may have a decent product on their hands despite a reputation for crap. I DID swap out the winch line for synthetic, I think it was 1/2" with a breaking force of north of 34k pounds.

...be advised that I've never actually used their winches in a "get unstuck or die of exposure in the middle of the wilderness situation."
