Nice! Whose is that? Is there a build thread?

Hey man, your bumbers are crazy cool. I'm working on half backing my 3rd gen this summer. I will be post the entire build here as I go, once the snow melts. I have already started on measurments and will be doing tear down soon. My question, Are you allowing the plans from your build to be used? I want to do bumbers while I am doing the welding for the back and already have a huge task of making that work. I would love to get the plans for yours and build some like it while working this summer.

Hey man I don't know if you ever said it but what is in between the body and bumper is it like a rubber seal to cover a gap? It looks like some sort of rubber unless it's metal, do you mind explaining what it is? Thanks and love the bulid

You are correct. I designed the bumpers (front and rear) to have about a 1" gap between the bumper and the body. Then I added a piece of 1/2" thick piece of rubber to cover most of the gap. The rubber is actually bolted onto the inside of the bumper. Sorry, I don't think I have any pics of that though.

This is actually a perfect idea for me now, I have a 4xinnovations front bumper and wanna do a 1" body lift so I can just add a piece of rubber like you did to cover the gap since 4xinnovations don't have a body lift option. Where did you get the rubber piece? Thanks

I don't mean to sound hasty but how's the switch pod goin?:ranger:

I've decided that I am going to mount it to the center dash, like the image I posted earlier. I mocked up a few switches up on the headliner like yours, and I just don't think that will work for me. I didn't care for that location. I wish I did though, because yours looks awesome. I'm still in the prototyping stage for my switch housing.

Took a little break from the roof rack build to finish up a few items on the front bumper. Finished up the limb riser mounts on the hoop corners. I finally got the new fog light inserts installed, and figured out the mounting for the RI LED lights. I just have to repaint the bumper yet.

I've also got a ton of parts sitting in my garage that need to be installed.

Front diff with 5.29's and ARB air locker:

Gear oil, lube locker, rear axle seals:

And to top it all off, I'm finally upgrading to the Tundra 231mm brakes (OEM pads and rotors, Autozone rebuilt calipers):

I actually took the day off of work tomorrow, so my buddy and I can intall the diffs and brakes. I can't wait!

Geez man, those are some nice goodies just sittin' around! How come you splurged for lockers front & rear?

Well I've been wanting to regear my diffs ever since I went to 35" tires. So as long as I was doing that, I figured I might as well go all out and get the lockers too. I probably don't really need a front locker, but I like the fact that the ARB carrier makes the front diff a lot stronger (so I've heard).

Plus, I got a large bonus from work this year, so that made it all possible. It was now or never.

Wow that is awesome! Any reason you are using 85W-140 gear oil? I thought we used 75W-90 or is it more preference/gear set up?

Nice upgrades man. I can't look at those diffs too much... it makes me itch right where my wallet is in my back pocket.
