This is where I just don't understand people.
I'm using adblock, and honestly am not bothered by ads whatsoever.
Furthermore, I was born squarely in the middle of the "Facebook" generation, but I won't touch that pile of shit unless I have too. Forums are hands-down the best place for storing and finding information.
I haven't seen one interesting build on Facebook, Instafam, or whatever else the cool kids are using nowadays. The critical failure is the inability to build a cohesive timeline of posts so people can see a nice evolution of discussion happen.
I agree that it was probably a better place a few years ago (before instagram), but I refuse to let that kill the forums. If nothing else, I'll just have to be the change I want in the forums.

I have no issues with this forum or any other forum, but I know others have cried about the ads before.

The thing about this forum that kills me is the lack of ability to perform a search, but that's always been an issue. Aside from that, this forum has been fantastic for myself, and others. I love the fact that so many members are willing to help, and post about their projects. Offer a garage to work if need be, and a couch to sleep on if you're broke down.

It's awesome to see you design and execute all the custom pieces. The creativity is awesome.

I find myself referencing t4r.org all the time with our local FB group. If anything it’s a historical document and reference material you really can’t find anywhere else. Quite honestly I don’t notice the ads, maybe cause it’s everywhere I’ve tuned it out? I like Instagram cause it’s impersonal if that makes sense. I’ve found more and more it’s better that way with digital media.

Yes, regeared to 5.29's. But I'd also have to use the sawzall to cut out a taller opening for the garage door. lol My truck's height is right at the limit now with the 35's and tall 861 rear springs.

Ahhh I see. I haven't had that problem in years, my only limiting factor is when it rains and my jack stands start to sink into the dirt :redbrick:
 
Finished up my custom gauge pod install for boost and AFR gauges. I sanded the 3D printed part smooth and spray painted it gray. The color didn’t match the interior exactly, but close enough for me. The gauges are just a slip-fit into the pod. I modeled some ribs into the pod openings to create a snug fit with the gauges.

Cut an opening in the A-pillar panel for the wires to run through (not shown in pic), and used double sided foam tape to adhere the gauge pod to the interior panel.

Ran the wires through the panel and pod, connected them to the gauges, and pressed the gauges into the pod openings. Popped the interior panel back into place with the pod and gauges on it.

I really like the way it turned out. The location of the gauges is just right for me. I like them down lower by the dash and not up higher on the A-pillar for that “in your face” feeling, which I feel would be very distracting.
 
Love the gauge pod! Much cleaner than the ones that are available aftermarket. Would you consider sharing the print files for it? (for $ of course)

Can you alter this to a 1 gauge pod?

Small update: I finally got the 2.2” pulley installed on the supercharger. Went from about 6.5 psi boost to about 8.0 psi. Also finished installing the 7th injector kit. Definitely need to do some tuning, so I’m looking into that.

Also finished up a small project. I had a store-bought dog-barrier thingy in the truck for several years, but it never fit quite right, and it was starting to fall apart. So I decided to make one from scratch. Got some flattened expanded metal, and sandwiched it between 2 layers of 1/8“ steel perimeter pieces. Then welded the outer perimeter all around.

It uses threaded rod and large 3” long hex nuts to tighten it up against the roof. The bottom ends of the threaded rod fits into pockets on top of my custom cargo box, which also prevents them from turning while screwing the nuts. The nuts raise and lower the whole barrier. Super easy to install and remove, no tools required and takes less than a minute. Painted it gray to match the interior.

I’m really happy with how it turned out. It fits really good, and looks nice too.
