BaseRunners Build thread

Hello everyone, I finally decided to start my own build thread. I havent done all that much to be honest, but I want to keep track of what I have done and what I'm going to do!

Starting off, I got the truck in April of 2012. Ever since I was a little boy I wanted a 4Runner, partly because my dad had a early 2nd generation Runner and I loved the way it looked. I can honestly say the 4Runner is my favorite truck. It came with 149557 on the odometer and it had the little annoying 225 70 r15 tires!

I then proceeded to add my own touches to it! I got the 31 - 10.50-R15 tires. Painted the wheels two tone, black and silver duplicolor paint. Got the visors and hood scoop (which is functional btw). I also changed the whole EGR valve system, new breaks, power steering flush, transmission flush, new tie rods, new belts all over, fuel injector cleaning, new spark plugs, New catalytic converter, new oxygen sensors and tinted the windows.

You have any under the hood pics? I want to see how you made your scoop functional. Good job so far as well!

Recently I decided to do the mesh grill. What I did was get the little copper strings, I cut the mesh according to the grill and I tied it with some pliers. Easy as that!!

I'll take some pics of it tomorrow. I basically just took a drill and drilled a few holes, then I took a cutter and cut the holes up as a whole (very ghetto) lol. I plan on getting a sport hood pretty soon, but in the meantime ima make do with this.

I decided to order seat covers a few weeks ago. I ordered a pair of dark green front seat covers. After that I ordered a rear seat cover that was black and had a few green stripes on it. The first two arrived and looked very nice. The rear ones came AND THEY WERE THE WRONG ONES!! needless to say I was very ticked off but I called the company and we resolved the issue. They decided to send me a whole package, front and rear with the steering wheel cover and seat belt covers :becky: even though its a lighter green then the other one...I still like it

Heres my Runner in about 4 maybe 5 inches of snow. Keep in mind it is a 2WD! With my tires and a good amount of weight on the back I was doing just fine and didnt get stuck anywhere, which was a relief! (Notice my scanguage)

Slow_T4R you asked for under the hood pics and here it is (I understand this is GHETTO AS HELL) But it was either let the hood scoop drag or make a hole underneath so SOME air could go into the engine. Please dont flame me for this guys haha. but yea Sorry for the delay I had a nasty high ankle sprain in my game sunday! I also have a sticker update!! My beloved Brazil National team sticker

Your truck has a transmission cooler from the factory. Follow the lines up to where they go. If it goes in the radiator its the factory cooler. If it goes into a smaller square cooler its an aftermarket one.
