Meh, live with tinnitus for a little while and you'll do everything you can to preserve your remaining hearing. 1000W subs were really cool in high school, definitely paying the price though in my 30's

Not the window on mine
On mine it's the license plate that rattles. I don't get any rattle from inside the door but I can hear the plate from both the inside and the outside.

Sounds like it may be time to get rid of those 'Plastic' factory speakers and drop-in some Full range 'Pro-drivers!

I have terrible tinnitus from the Army and from having systems in my vehicles in my teens and 20's. I still enjoy listening to music without ALL treble. In my mid 30's as well. Do you do anything for the tinnitus?

I'm having similar issues, last night I couldn't get my ear drum to stop twitching during a thunder storm, and my gf always *****es at me that the music is too loud and that I'm half deaf.... Subs and rock concerts have done their damage over the years

i don't really do anything special other than a lot of white noise machines and fans. Sometimes i'll also use ear plugs, it obviously can't block a sound inside your head but they make a different noise when you move that for me at least can sometimes make me not focus on the tinnitus sound.
oh, also try this technique, when i notice my tinnitus being distracting this gives me temporary relief that usually is enough for me to stop focusing on it

I've been able to deal with it for the most part so far. It would be great to completely eliminate it, but then I'd probably be bummed out that it isn't there anymore since I've grown so accustomed to it.

Anything with a real magnet is an improvement, the stock speakers have paper cones and tiny electro-magnets and sound horrible, the electro-magnets can't move air for shit

Is your setup where all the speakers in the car now route to an amp which connects to the head unit via a custom harness?
Just kinda curious what route I should go. If I go with a separate amp, then the speakers I choose need to have their RMS calculated to the amp not the head unit's output right?

My system (for the most part) is stock; the factory HU and no full range amps in the system. The subs are the only drivers that are amplified using power amps! I did, however, replace the dash tweeters (1"), and the front doors (6x9) Alpines! I also changed the wiring to the 'Party mode' system!
But that only applies to 2010 to 2013 4R's. I wrote it up for the benefit of all the guys that were disgusted with the sound of that system... I'll post that link to the changes I've made to that system and why; the changes really helped the quality of the sound of the HU!
