Bass Rattling Rear Window

Inside of the panel is covered top to bottom side to side as well. So much in fact that I had to get stronger hatch struts. OEM struts couldn't handle the added weight.

Did you put any on the outer skin as that is the part that vibrates more than the inner skin?

Meh, live with tinnitus for a little while and you'll do everything you can to preserve your remaining hearing. 1000W subs were really cool in high school, definitely paying the price though in my 30's

As mentioned - check the rear license plate, and likely add some dense adhesive foam to the underside of the plate. I also had a small rattle from my fuel door. A little dynomat resolved it and the truck is incredibly quiet outside even at "full tilt"...

OT / RE: Tinnitus: I've found Taurine supplements seem to help mine. Self-induced from my loud drums and Marshall guitar amps since I was 8 years old - then 140+dB SPL Car and PA Systems in my teens through current day ... I still haven't learned to turn it down

I have a few thousand in sound deadening and still have three spots that I can't fix. Luckily neither myself nor the judges can hear them inside the vehicle. The rear spoiler rattles and my two front outside door handles. I have 9" midbass speakers in my doors so that could have something to do with it I reckon.

Really not worried about the marginal added weight. Might have added 150-200 pounds and worth every bit of it. I guess I lost 2/10 of a second in the 1/4 lol my 90 pound wheel and tire combo in each corner did a lot more damage than that.
