Battery for Key Fob

Anyone know what size battery goes in the key fob, and do they lose their memory if taken out or out for too long.

PS....If your remote key ring hole is broken (like most of them are) just get one of those rubber jackets from the jacket store. they are like 6 buxs or something and the rubber at the end is strong enough to hold a key ring. Mine has been working great for a year now.

Battery number in a 2016. Any Radio Shack has them. Even some drugstores have them too.

No they shouldn't loose memory if left out to long.

Just take the FOB into the store and compare. Easy peasy.

BTW, there is no programming in the FOB itself, you program the car to recognize/authorize the FOB ID. At least that is my understanding of it. I don't believe there is any kind of receiver in the FOB. I sure didn't see one when I took mine apart.
