If you check out Google maps to Stanislaus County there is another OHV Park Carnegie State Vehicular Park:
http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1172

I couldn't tell though if they allow 4x trucks yet, I'll call tomorrow and find out - might be a good alternative for close trips in the future.

I vote for Sancounty trip on our 3/29 date.
 
Carnegie bad idea!!!

It's so small for trucks and it gets boring after about a hour, it's basically just a big open flat corral


I think that one in stanislaus county is a good idea to try
 
Let's try and get this thread back on track somewhat. Based on the poll we have 3 Runners and possibly some copilots for Sunday March 29 - NEW LOCATION Stanislaus OHV Area.

I have included a list to get us rolling, if you could cut & paste to add to the list so we know exactly who is coming that would be great, and if at some point you could PM me with your mobile phone so we have a contact point for meet up time:

Communications
Do any of you guys have CB or Motorola Talkabouts? I have a pair of Talkabouts we could use for at least the front to rear vehicle chat - let me know as it would be nice to have a couple otheres on the same frequency for stops or oncoming vehicle warnings.

4Reak - I put you down as copilot if you want to meet up at my house you can leave your truck safely. PM me and we can sort out a meeting place.

Josh hopefully you'll still be coming out on 3/29 - looking forward to checking out your rig in person and seeing that bumper - looks great in pics and something I am aiming for.

Per my last post, can we try and keep this thread down to our Sunday trip so we don't get lost with so many trip ideas in one area - thanks!

Jamie, did we generate any interest in the mid-week trip on 4/15 or thereabouts - I haven't seen a response to that in quite some time? If not, I'll PM Ruffian again to see if she can't hijack the thread and get some more concrete plans formulated.

i got my bf's within two days and they had to order them and you cant beat their prices

Sorry for the Sunday options as the thread lead - I get to be the old guy with kids. I always bring my son wheelin but my daughter is only 1.5 and wouldn't last more than 60 mins in the truck let alone the whole day. My wife worx Sats so I am bound to Sundays.

And no I'm not THAT old, lol - 34 and my son is 5.

Josh glad you are on board, did you get those sliders on yet or should I say will they be installed before we go?

hahaha 34 isnt old, 26 is :( hahah

oh yeah they are on and they are amazing!!! haha i havent taken any pics yet though, im ordering a cb now on amazon and i hope to have it installed by the 29th and i also gotta finish my air compressor install, all is left is to install the gauge and switch inside and i finally found the spot- inside the glove compartment right when you open the door on the top left there is a flat spot that i think will fit the gauge perfect- its a 2in round gauge- what do you think??

It is open to anyone, but the more people you have the harder to coordinate and the slower the pack travels.
