BD S8 LED light bar install question....

I've got almost everything installed and it actually works. The harness came with a round rocker button for on/off. I would rather have a push button or rectangular rocker style for the dash(I've seen the ones on aironboard and amazon)....my question is how do I wire the new button with only two wires-red and black. I found videos for three wires, but not two. Thanks.

Thanks, I read that, but I used a harness from SDHQ when I purchased the light(they have a bracket kit too). So I'm stuck with a two wire switch and need to know how to wire it to something like this:

12 Volt 3amp ON-OFF Toyota OEM Replacement Push Switch LED LIGHT BAR BLUE -Air On Board

Appreciate any input.

Not sure which switch came with your harness, but mine was illuminated when switched on and had black (neg), red (pos source), & yellow (pos bar) connections. It used the red & yellow to complete the circuit for the bar, and red & black for the led (illumination). So to use a standard single pole single throw switch you'd need to use the red & yellow from the harness for the bar to work, and just keep the black/neg away from the pos leads.

Thanks for explaining that so what I have is on/off and no illumination with only the two wires...I guess I need a switch that isn't illuminated-I can deal with that.
