Does anyone else agree that the A/C in 4Runners is actually pretty damn good?

Yea they're alright, better than the GX's a/c which seem to take forever to cool the car down!

But yes, I would NEVER trade dry heat for humdity.... TRust me, you're constantly sweating every minute, even the very second you step out of the shower, you already feel like you're sweating! lol..:bash:

I do want to live in Vegas. lol. I gots some fam there plus I always has just loved Vegas. I'd trade 90 wet for 130 dry any day. I'm like dying over here. It's 91 with 50% humidity.

I was vacationing in Las Vegas from June 30 until July 4. The minute I walked off the airplane, I couldn't believe how hot it was. It just got hotter and hotter each day. One of our taxi drivers said that Las Vegas was in pretty bad heat wave. On July 3, I went to the Hoover Dam and it had to be at least 120 outside. I was carrying a black camera bag on my shoulder and a camera around my neck and you couldn't touch both of them. The A/C in the Taurus rental really couldn't combat the heat so that was uncomfortable. On July 4, I left to San Diego but that was supposed to be a record breaking day in Vegas. When I left the hotel at around 9:00, it was in the high 90's. When I arrived in San Diego, it was around 70 and I thought I was going into hypothermia!

I did see some interesting 4Runner's driving down the strip at night during my time there.

I definitely have to agree with that. My allergies were so much better in Vegas and I didn't sweat as much. I would take the extreme heat over the dirty Jersey air! Today it was like 98 in Jersey but it felt hotter than Vegas when you factor in the humidity.

I think I've got it worse than all of you, living here in Florida (which, by the way, I hate). I mean, right now it's 90 but the heat index is 102 bc of the humidity. You sweat just by standing outside for 30 seconds, even in the shade. It is just awful.

I've been to Vegas when it's been 112 and I didn't sweat. True, I was in the shade, but the humidity was non-existent. Now going out in the sun...that was a different story.

I have family in Colorado and I visit in July or August almost every year. In Boulder, sure, it gets to be 95 or more, but I don't sweat bc it is so dry. A short ride up the canyons and all of a sudden it is 60 wonderful degrees. Then I dread going back home. Hell, it is not uncommon for it to be humid here in January too. It really does suck ass.

As for the AC in the Runner, yeah, it is great.

vegas is just flat f'n hot....living in FL was bad too. I have to say that the worst heat ever was in Mississippi or maybe Corpus Christi Tx. It would be 104 with 80%

Vegas weather is a cake walk. You guys want hot? Stay an entire summer in the Philippines during a monsoon. Not only will you enjoy balmy 110+ degree heat and high humidity, but add to that mosquitoes, gnats, geckos, and 3 inch cockroaches which know no fear and love to pick fights with you. Add to that the lovely heat and smell of diesel and gasoline. I don't know how my family can stand visiting over there every now and then.

Hahaha! i can completely relate to that.... I lived there all my life and i just got used to it.. i hate the big cockroaches that flies and the heat is alright but the pollution is bad due to a lot of diesel powered vehicles.. in addition to that traffic is the worst:biggrin2:

CALIENTE! Well it gets humid over here...worse down in HOTlanta. Air temp maybe 85F but feels well over 100F and you can barely breath.

Is that 12.1MPG being displayed?

I tow a boat most weekends so it throws it out of whack... Still pretty sad though

I agree, I'm black on black in 115 degree heat and my A/C works like a champ

Mine works great too but I have pretty dark tint. It's funny becuase the woman's Corolla has a difficult time keeping up with the heat but the 4Runner keeps things nice and cool!

It is pretty muggy right now though, Raining off and on and like 105 degrees...

UNLV. I had to go to the library at about 9:45 under partly cloudy skies. Walked in and was there until about 10, walked out and everything was soaked and the sky was perfectly clear!

I passed UNLV on the way to Hoover Dam and it was really nice. I just can't imagine coming out and seeing everything wet in Vegas. Everything out there seemed so dry!
