Bedliner’d my bumpers

Just thought those of you who were on the fence about it might appreciate some pictures. I’m still debating on whether or not to do the flares and running boards.

Looks great! My runner has the gray(supposed to be black) plastic bumpers and lower half of the doors. Looking to do this on all of that plastic. What product did you use and was it sprayed on or rolled?

Looks great! I would probably do the flares as well since they sort of flow into the bumpers. My clear on my flares is in fairy bad condition at this point so hey need to be refinished anyway. This has me thinking this may be a better solution. It would probably look neat against the gloss black body panels on my truck as well.

That is EXACTLY what everyone who sees it says. I’ve been so on the fence about this whole project that I wanted to do the bumpers first and then the flares and then the bottom of the doors and then the running boards. So it’ll take me like 4 weekends to do it I’m sure but I’ll eventually bedliner it all.

I definitely like the texture of that product you used, and may use that on my Miata hardtop. It was previously done with another bedliner product but the guy that owned it did a crappy job, so I need to grind it down with the D/A sander first then spray over it. In your case, I do think it will be worth the effort to those other parts as others have suggested.

Oh, and I love the underhood lighting! I’ve been meaning to do something like that as well.

Yeah, there’s even a tintable version of that product on the finishmasters website so you can tint it to a different shade if you’d like.

The underhood lighting is the best thing I’ve done, I swear, I never thought it would be so handy. I also put a toolbox in the engine bay so it’s nice having the light.

While the product you used seems to be a great product, I must say their website has a lot to be desired, very hard to navigate and find various products, no prices, also you said you applied it with the gun that came in the kit, I didn't see anywhere it said the gun comes with the kit.

It appears that they don't sell online, at least not that I could find?

Anybody know of any photos of the bedliner, on front bumper, rear bumper, fender flares, side rocker panels & sideskirts?
 
Looks good, would love to see some close-up pictures of the front bumper without the headlights on. It's hard to see the contrast to the paint with the glare.

Well, two things:

1- There is a right and wrong way to paint anything in life. The right way is to take it off and paint it properly.

2- I set out to just mask and shoot and realized there is too much that wraps under and that I wouldn’t be happy with the paint job so I removed it all.

;) excellent. I ask because my middle name is "breaks clips accidentally"
 
Yeah. I just ended up cracking all of them off and buying new clips on amazon. No way those were going to make it through the surgery.

Wow, did you break any clips getting that stuff removed? It sucks they didn’t fully paint under the plastic pieces. I think I would spray over the primer either with matching blue paint,or even bedliner just for extra corrosion protection. Primer really isn’t great for stopping rust without a topcoat. Can’t wait to see the finished product!
