been a long time coming, bumper decision help

Hey fellas, it's been a long time since I've posted on here. I've been so busy raising my son by myself working full time and going to school. I haven't shown my 4runner any love. It's been so long, I went to go start it up the other day and the battery was dead. That's how long it's been since I even have driven it. I feel bad for neglecting her so she's going to get a treat!

Well time has come to finally get myself a bumper after having mine off for over a year. I'm really leaning towards the addicted off road plate style bumper. Feel free to help me choose between other styles. Pictures are always nice! What do you have and why did you choose it??

I went with the AOR and very pleased I did. I preferred the lower profile over the more pronounced look and the winch sits very snug in the little winch box. Look around on here and see what you like, there has been several pics of all kinds of great looking bumpers - good luck, looks like your rig is ready for one.

Im also fan of the AOR plate. Its very low pro giving you best approach angles possible. Like stated the winch is tucked in very well.

I wish they would offer it without the tube around the winch area,replace with plate,just a lot of stuff going on,I really like there tube bumper.
Just my oppnion but I love the low profile look,most of the others look like farm truck bumpers.

I am in the same boat. I like ARB, AOR, and CBI bumpers. Leaning towards ARB because they are air bag certified. Not sure if approach angle with ARB bumper is as good as AOR.

Yes the bar in front is to protect the winch, his first design didnt have it. It also mounts the offroad lights. He tried to go with more tube to keep weight down i would say.

The ARB approach angle is horrible. I would say the worst of the offroad bumpers available. Its also very very very heavy and its the most you see because almost all arbs look same on all vehicles.

The AOR is only 75lb give or take. This is a big deal when you dont want to much weight on the front end.

Bumper was $699 and powder coat for front and rear bumper was $300, the rear is 4x Innovations. Couldn't tell you how much for powder coat for only front.

I am doing the same thing you are but I want a true plate receiver hitch bumper. I think the plates offer more protection from everything. The tubes are fine, but for me I know I would have sticks/brush damaging things the bumper protects. I finally got one company tacticalarmorgroup.com to call me back and after a few emails I'm ready to order. 4x called me today...but too late as I have been waiting for almost two weeks. Only one other company gave me a initial response but then stopped. Tactical Armor Might be worth sending a note or calling. They had no problem with the things I wanted and how I wanted them. They did quite a few minor but important things for me at no extra charge.

I really like it. I'm not soon in the market, but that will be my bumper whenever that time comes. Hopefully shipping to Oklahoma isn't a beast
