The ARB approach angle is horrible. I would say the worst of the offroad bumpers available. Its also very very very heavy and its the most you see because almost all arbs look same on all vehicles.
The AOR is only 75lb give or take. This is a big deal when you dont want to much weight on the front end.
Best side shot I could find.
I am doing the same thing you are but I want a true plate receiver hitch bumper. I think the plates offer more protection from everything. The tubes are fine, but for me I know I would have sticks/brush damaging things the bumper protects. I finally got one company tacticalarmorgroup.com to call me back and after a few emails I'm ready to order. 4x called me today...but too late as I have been waiting for almost two weeks. Only one other company gave me a initial response but then stopped. Tactical Armor Might be worth sending a note or calling. They had no problem with the things I wanted and how I wanted them. They did quite a few minor but important things for me at no extra charge.
The ARB is about 85 lbs, so it is very very very heavy compared to the AOR?
Thats not bad at all. I was under impression they where around 100lb, my buddy said his 90lb winch and bumper was around 200lb. And when I was researching to buy one they always showed around 150lb shipping weight. Usually around 30lb for materials. But if thats true I was wrong and should adjust my post.
