Before and after Bilstein Install

Finally ..FINALLY got around to a shop putting my shocks on, found a local guy here in socal, 2 1/2 hours and he was done. Bilstein 5100s adjusted to the 1.75" setting in the front, stock Bilstein 5100s in the year, removed XREAS system. Added the front man-a-fre skid plate myself yesterday, thinking about getting their tranny skid plate as well. Ride home was a charm, it corners better on the highway and just feels more "solid". Taking it out into the socal mountains this afternoon for the real test. SOO happy with the way it looks, the pictures dont do it justice for how even it looks now. The front end was always just too low for me. FINALLY fixed!!

Very nice my man! I am thinking about getting some Bilsteins here pretty soon too. Could you please let me know how much the labor was on that?

I got it done for $200. Both sets of shocks were $360 from 4wheelparts out in El Cajon. A few pics from my little outing today. thank god i had that skid plate on there already or i would have taken a nice little beating to my oil pan earlier. Rides much better, less sway and noticeably reduced oscillations going over ruts. Well worth the money. Now i just want bigger tires..and a winch..and some sliders.. and some blah blah blaa..........

All near Otay Mt., socal.

light mount was a custom design by a guy on this board actually, sold it to me from arizona back like 5 years ago. Has a v shaped mount that attaches to holes already in the radiator support crossbeam and the frame.

I like it! I want to do the same to my '04 V6 too! So are you just using the stock coils with the bilsteins or did you up grade to the fj. Springs too? Looks like you didn't add a spacer lift to the rear either, correct? I was under the impression that one would need a spacer for the rear if using the 1.75" setting in the front, but yours looks great. What size tire you running?

Just picked up a set of bilsteins front and back from Downsouth Motor Sports for $319 shipped! So excited to get rid of xreas!
