We camp and tailgate. I stack my table and 6 chairs in mine. Everyday I have a tow strap in case non Toyota owners find there vehicle isn't running or stuck.

My 4R is my Keys fishing gear caddy. The roof rack is a perfect place for my 12 ft surf rods.

Let's not forget about the convenience of being able to put items up there when you're out and about.

This may not be advisable unless, like me, you have a specialized garage entrance alarm that emits a piercing crash sound as a reminder to take the items down.
