Best Aftermarket Bumpers/ Or at least options

Thinking about going with the ARB bumper but its the only one I really have seen. Any others out there similar? Im surprised its only 860$ shipped so Im not going to spend any more than that for sure.

also i think bud built makes them as well, i know thier skids are ment to be the shiizz. i don;t own one but am looking to get one as well, arb isn't all that cool to me either. so don't quote me on how rad the shrockworks one is i've just like the way it looks and have heard good things.

Both look good but the arbs a good 300$ cheaper.

I think Shrockworks looks the best, but not $3-400 better than ARB. I'd stick with ARB.

I don't know if you have a local dealer (you most likely should), but my local guy can get it for $766.

I started off with an ARB too. I had one on my 1994 4Runner.

How much do the armorology run? I'm not sure if I'm going to get the arb from the site I found it as they don't say which years they fit. I found others were different for the different years in 3rd gen. And they don't offer sides to match flared fenders or not flared fenders..

You have to order the Tacoma bumper that fits 96-04 I believe...

Mine was a lot more than $860 so if that's your budget limit then Armorology is definitely out. If you were able to get an ARB built with the same strength and features then you would probably end up paying more than just having Armorology build you one though. With Armorology you really do get what you pay for. If you know you're going to wheel it hard I'd recommend you talking to a lot more people that wheel and have wheeled the way you might. I've seen first hand how a $700 bumper ended up being more than the total cost of mine and in the end they still had the bumper that failed in the first place.

Hmm really. Arb is weaker? I do plan on wheeling hard but no rocks around here to crush the bumper on. I mainly like the looks.

Cool. If you don't have to worry about the approach angle or crushing into the bumper then I think ARB makes a lot of sense. I think they look cool too! it'll definitely save you some cash.

If you have a local fab shop build one you are looking in the 1200-2500 range maybe more. The ARB is a nice price for a good product and is cheaper because of the production numbers.Same reason auto makers went to assembly lines. The advantage to going with a reputable fab shop is you can get something built for your specific use or look but you pay for the skill and time to make a custom.
