Best belt tensioner...

I am looking to replace my belt tensioner. I found the Dayco on Rock auto for less than $50. The toyota dealer wants much more. I try to buy as many genuine Toyota parts as possible but in this case I am not sure. When we bought a tensioner for my Dads tundra several years ago the OE one that came off the vehicle had Dayco cast into it and the new Toyota one also had Dayco cast into it. If Dayco makes the tensioners for Toyota why get the genuine Toyota version?

My serpentine belt kit did not come with a new tenionser pulley so I just replaced the bearing. I reccommend doing that since it's not hard at all. Just buy a Nachi Quest or Koyo bearing and you'll be good.

I just bought the Gates Belt Kit which included a belt tensioner. I've stuck with Gates where ever I can, as I haven't had issues with their products so far.
