I apologize for reviving this old thread. I wanted to start a new thread about one particular brake pad, but since I am new to this forum I don't have enough posts to meet the minimum for being allowed to start a new thread. So I am trying to get my post count up past the minimum number whatever that is, while at the same time trying get the information I am seeking.
And, before I post this I did do a forum-wide search for this particular brake pad and did not see anything come up in my forum search that even mentions this brake pad.
I usually do a lot of reading and homework before making a purchase, so this has been no exception. I am happy with the performance of OEM ceramic brake pads, but not too happy about the price.
In the past I have used various ceramic brake pads mainly Wagner brand, but on my 2000 4Runner I began using Raybestos discs and ceramic brake pads and shoes.
But now Raybestos has a new brake pad on the market. It is called a hybrid and is a mixture of both ceramic and semi-metallic in one product.
From what I can determine this newer hybrid brake pad is top of the line and considered premium quality and performance right along side their standard professional grade ceramic brake pads.

As I said above, I did a forum-wide search for the term "raybestos hyrbid" and I did not find a single mention of this brake pad which I find curious because my whole interest in starting a new thread on this brake pad was to ask the members here if anyone has used this hybrid and what are the opinions of it?
Raybestos website is telling me this is their best brake pad technology. I am willing to give it a try and the price is comparable to Wagner ceramics which are about $60.00 for both sets, and these hybrid Raybestos pads are a little over $62.00 for both sets.
So if the forum search engine is thorough, then this comment about the Raybestos hybrid brake pad is the first mention of it on this forum. I got a total of 3 hits and none of them mention this hybrid brake pad so I am curious if anyone here has used these before and are they as good or better than regular ceramic brake pads? Thanks in advance...
