funny but true.
this does bring to mind my Hybrid F350 crew cab I once owned. yeah I said Hybrid. sure was fun to make fun of the prius folks cause how could my big bad truck be a hybrid. well dual fuel signifies that one. and tell them to sniff my exhaust. that always got funny looks
I would burn SVO and my diesel tank would stay full for a long time. that was a great feeling for sure. cause fill ups where over $100 easy when the price of fuel was so high.

I've had to stop driving the 4runner as much as I can. So sad, back on the dual sport everyday. I'm sure most everyone on this site is feeling the pain. I really don't know what's gonna happen if these prices go over $5, wheeling trips are gonna be cut down for sure.

If/ when gas prices do it $5 a gallon I don't think anyone is gonna be doing much driving regardless of what kinda car they have. Haha.

I bought midgrade which here is 87 for 3.21 a gallon tonight. we have 85, 87 and 91...

Paid $57 to fill up here in CT last night. $3.82 p/gal. Over a hundred years ago the Wright brothers invented a metal fixture that allowed humans to fly. Today, we have more technology and information than we know what to do with yet we cannot find a alternative fuel source and put it into effect now?

Whatever it may be, something needs to be done now. The ones with the necessary information are being hushed. Im tired of being held at the mercy of the "great and powerful." Sometimes i wish i could give some politicians a slap on the wrist when they try to reach for their wallets. "No no no Mr. politician, you cant do that! Hmmm I believe its called ABUSE OF POWER.

in LA gas is already over $5 a gallon, a friend of mine just paid $5.09 for gas yesterday to put gas in her car...

Hey, so I have to ask you guys. Why does fuel prices rise so much during the summer months of the year?
I have heard the reason that it is because of the demand for it, but I don't really buy it. I mean, if we saw say a 50 cent jump in prices I'd buy it, but for MN roughly a $2.00 jump (from $3.00 to $5.00)!!! Are they serious? That is a 40% increase, and now instead of it costing ~$50 to fill up the 4runner, it is going to cost me ~$83. That means at 1 tank per week I am looking a $332 a month to drive instead of $200. F this man, that is $132 that I now have to budget for. It also affects cars with good gas mileage as well.
Sorry for the complaining, and although I love the feeling of being full of gas, I can't stand what it costs.

Everyone is out and more active during the warmer months. Therfore, if you want to enjoy yourself, take your family on a road trip, etc. You better believe your going to be at the mercy of these ****ing ridiculous gas prices. Every ****ing year you hear it on the news, gas prices expected to hit record highs. Yet every ****ing year we still have no resolve to this issue.

We all make choices. You can choose to drive less. Ultimately, that is the only way fuel prices will come down. Less demand, lower prices. We can complain until the cows come home, but the fact of the matter is, we're still buying it. We have little power individually, but if we can collectively drive less, it will have a substantial impact.
My T4R stays in the garage most days, while we take the Prius to work. It's not cool or fun, but we are buying significantly less fuel, without question.

2. no matter how much money you make you still have to pay for gas, this isnt a topic on how bad 4runners gas mileage is, its how good it feels to be able to fill it up, and how lucky im am to keep driving it cause i love it to death and it is my first vehicle, and probably my last!!!

1.Lol, so what price does gas get to before we start to call a Prius a gas guzzler?
2. For me to make more money, i would have to travel further to the city which ultimately means---> You guessed it! More gas. I am already in college while working full time in the profession i am studying for.
3. Sooner or later gas prices will effect the public transportation to and people will complain about that also.
I'm not trying to be a "cry baby." I'm trying to understand why so many people are accepting of the fact that we are clearly getting robbed. I do well for myself and provide for my household and girlfriend, i dont need some free hands outs to get by. I work my ass off and have something to show for it.
Sorry, i just think its wrong that we need to resort to buying a second vehicle, registering it and driving it when really we want to be driving the vehicle we bought because we plain love it.
