Best Grille Guard/Brush Guard Brand?

Living in San Francisco, I've definitely had my share of surprise bumper kisses. Luckily in the back, my towing hitch prevents any scratches and I want to avoid any new ones in the front.

I was looking at the Go Rhino 3000 series Grille Guard (Part #: 3723MB), but I just wanted to get a general consensus of which brand is the best? I'm not looking to spend too much. Thoughts?

Tail Light guards are not as important, but I will probably buy a pair just to complete the look.

None. If you are kissing things with your bumper all the time I would suggest going to a driving school. You will end up paying for a new bumper and quarter panels, after a few grill guard kisses... a grill guard will just exacerbate the issues you already face. And they really don't look that cool anyways.

Thanks for the advice. I do not think my driving is an issue, however, its others who can't parallel park that make bumper kisses an issue in the city.

ok, like said above a "Brush" guard doesn't do much for bad parking as they might actually rotate up and bust your radiator, they are designed to push small light branches out of the way.

that said though i had one for a number of years and it worked well for me, i even got cornered by a city bus and it was strong enough to push most of the truck out of the way so it only ended up costing me a bumper and valance instead of a quarter panel and some head light damage in the end , but i wouldn't always count on that being the case and basically for a couple of hundred more you can have a real armored bumper and be more unique on the road as well, much cooler imo.

i had a westin and it was great for what it was but i won;t be going back that route ever again,that said... it fit really nice and had good solid connections, even after being by the bus i was able to resale it for $250

but why go with one of those when you can have one of these sweet things for what may be a bit more but is 100000x's more functional and robust? it sure will last longer and looks cooler too.

i think toytec is actually having a sale on them and there might be something going in the vendor section of the forum as well.

it may be a bit more cash but it is seriously worth it, plus if you sale your stock stuff you can easily make up the price difference between the two.



ok there's my view on it, but if you must go with the grill guard make sure you get one that fits your bumper 99+ had a "fat lip" bumper and therefore the guards aren't all the same either and are not interchangeable ...well not easily...

I agree with ^ this guy. From my understanding brush guards actually do more harm than good when it comes to collisions. That's based off of some reading I've done.
