I recommend resetting the ECU. Especially if you replaced the spark plugs recently. It might help.

I think the V10 is a diesel and gets better mileage, though.Uneek said:IMO, technology plays a role allowing newer engines with larger displacements to make power and be more efficient. But my friend has said his uncle gets about 8-11mpg on his Excursion.
