This is my 07 Audi trunk lid i mounted Stag Arms AR-15 :sniper: and the XDM 3.8 and their is also a great cubbyhole under the steering wheel on it that hold the xdm pretty great i have a xdm compact their. But i am ready to fix some in my 4Runner.

Mount? Lol, I keep my (Pistol...Pistol I meant)...in between the passenger front seat and the console for fast draw action! There are too many crazies in this world for it to be mounted out of reach!!! Lol

Ive been debating doing this for awhile, but putting a tan (color match) soft shell holster around it and leave it unzipped when I'm in my rig and zip it up when Im not.

I had a belt slide screwed into the side console (by the drivers knee) for my 1911 on my last 4runner (totaled).

You could probably mount an assault weapon on the back lift hatch the same way it's mounted to the car and keep a pistol in between the seat and console like every else says. I know that wetokole actually offers a gun pouch for their front covers. Pretty handy.

the law in this state is every firearm must be unloaded in a case. unless you have a CC permit, in which case the firearm can be loaded, but must remain on your person(not under the seat or anywhere but on your person). ammo must be in a separate locked container. any kind of trouble with the law would cause me to lose my job in a heartbeat, so i gotta keep everything cased. except of course my stainless 1911, which is cocked, locked, and on the hip.

I usually keep my XDS .45 near the center console. I purchased a bracket that holds a left side OWB holster, and I'm mounting to the left side of my center console near the shifters. I also have my CCW permit.

My Mossberg 12G tactical and my Colt AR stay at home, in my closet in a gun case. I only take my rifles and shotguns out for outdoor ranges about 1.5 hours away or if I hear creeping downstairs, then I get to rack my 12 gauge

Shoulder holsters are an excellent option for handguns if clothing isn't an issue. This way, you have your heater on you when some psycho tries to set you on fire at a gas station

If you don't want to carry one ON you, I like Pelican cases.

If you're not worried about someone breaking your back window and stealing your guns, and you actually want a rifle or shotgun MOUNTED to the vehicle, I've contemplated making a bracket using the bolts for the existing tie-down straps in the trunk and retro-fitting an ATV gun rack to that.

Also, a rifle scabbard no longer seems too far-fetched, but I don't know where you would mount it other than in the trunk. There's not much space in the front.

Oh, and don't forget the glove box! It's already mounted to your vehicle, and most of them lock!
