Best Retrofitters out there

I know I may get called out for this one because I haven't gone through every thread and read who did what retrofits. I could also be missing a post exactly like this, but I am wonder who are the best retrofitters out there. I have done two retrofits of my own and I haven't done the best job. I had HID Illusionz do my last set for me and the lights fogged up and my CCFL's didn't work. Not to mention it took the better part of 3-4 months for me to get my lights back.

I need a company that can do what I want, which is just a quad retrofit, in a reasonable time. A deer ran into me, I did not hit it lol, and insurance is covering my headlight repair. But no company seems to have the time of day to do a retrofit for me and I can't be waiting around 1-2 months. If anyone has any ideas let me know, it would be appreciated.

He may be quite busy though so not sure how quickly he would be able to do it for you. he's also in Canada so it may or may not be economical to ship up here. he maybe be able to point you in the right direction though.

Look up sickhid's.com Brian is the master of headlight mods and has a lifetime warranty. He is a good friend of mine and is located in grass valley california, you can mail him a set or he can buy a set to customize for you. I promise you will be happy with the product. Be aware that it takes some time since he is a 1 man operation, so I wouldn't send him the lights out of your truck is just let him buy new ones to retro.

retros are so cool........but be ready to shell out $1000 or more..and 1 to 2 months leadtime...wish i had the money ...would hv done retros!.
 
Thanks guys, i'll check out all those. I've shelled out almost $3000 for them and insurance will be covering this. I am just trying to get someone who can do a reasonable time even if they have to put some more money in for quick turn around time. We all know insurance likes to wait to send you, your money, but they want their stuff quick. I talked to lightwerkz and they are behind at least a month. That wouldn't work for me. I'll check out the other forums and the guy in California. Thanks for the help!

What year is your runner? 06+ have direct swap in bixenon projectors from trs. Wouldn't be quad but you could add a set of mini h1's to the high beam spot to have quad.
 
The majority of the best retrofitters are very busy so you'll just have to be patient. I had Lightwerkz do both my Civic and 4Runner. They did an average job with them (long story), but the components were absolute crap. I changed them out for quality ones after running into problems. Found lightmodz and had them redo my 4Runner's.......... wow!! Big differance in craftsmanship and quality components. Plus, Jay (lightmodz) is very nice person and educates you on stuff. The other company didn't seem to care. Needless to say, I'm a permanent customer. I get my stuff (bulbs/ballast/wireharnesses) at the retrofit source. Anyway, I recommend Lightmodz, hands down.

How much is involved in the "direct swap in" projectors? I already have an HID set from TRS, so swapping out the bulbs/projectors would be simple enough for me. Any links?

From talking to the guys in their shop about it, it's pop open the lens, unbolt the old and bolt in the new and run the wires for the new bi xenon high beam. Seal it back up. All you would need is the mini d2s projectors, new d2s capsules, amp to straight d2s connectors, and a pair of high beam splitters to activate the high beam solenoid. All in all a very easy swap if you ask me. I haven't done it due to $ constraints. I have their kit in my Camry and a few components from them in my runner.

That's my 4Runner pictured there and I can attest to the quality and workmanship Rickashay (Addison) puts into all his retrofits. I can't divulged what I paid, but I would recommend him to anyone interested.
 
I already have 1 spare headlight, just have to track down 1 more. Plus I already have the morimoto h11 kit, all I need is a set of d2s bulbs... Thanks for the info :hug:
