Best time for T4R factory incentives

Hey fellas! First time posting. Here in FL looking (and waiting) patiently for a 5th gen SR5 or TE but leaning towards the SR5. When did you score your T4R and what kind of rebates did you receive, if any? If I'm correct the 2014's will be out in Oct - Nov so late summer will be the best time to buy a 2013? We're looking to score one by about then (late summer) in order to take a much needed vacation up into the Georgia countryside for some camping and swimming. Thanks for your feedback.

I haven't seen too many deals/rebates on the TR4. I always recommend buying towards the end of any month, most likely the last day. Most dealers track number of vehicles sold for the month and try to do what they can to move a car.

^ that correct! I just bought 2013 sr5 with leather and navi. It was 3 days before the month is over and the dealer needed to sell 30 more cars. The sticker prices was 39450 and I bought the car for 34850 out of the door, when a bigger dealership next door offer me a car 200 dollars more a month. I haven't seen any rebates/ incentives on 5th gen 4runners. The best deal is what you comfortable paying and enjoying the car. I had 4th gen 4runner and I'm glad I made a switch.

Please share how you got a 2013 almost 40k for 33k before tax. That's 7k off sticker. So nothing else played a factor in the 7k off? What dealership because I need to buy from them. My dealers are lucky to budge 2k. Thanks.

I went to Faulkner Toyota, go there and tell them Alex send you. Ask for Steve Harris. I just got lucky, it was 3 days left until end of month and they had to sell 30 more cars. They had the car I wanted and I pushed them and pushed them. I first spoke with internet sales, and then I got in the dealership on Thursday. We got to the certain price, which was very good, but my wife pulled me out. Then I came back on Monday Feb 25 and pushed them more and the manager came down more in price and I took the car. Couple days before coming to these dealership I went in to Team Toyota, which are total reap offs. They just came down 2K down and that it. I said no thank you and left and when I told the sales person about the deal he could not believe it, but I have the car. I put 3800 down, but it comes in affect after the sales price and I had a trade which I own money on it and they washed me out of it.
Any questions don't hesitate to ask.

That's pretty much what the Toyota salesman told me, too. I bought my SR5 five days before the end of the month. It stickered for a shade over $37K and I got it out the door for $33K.

Of course, the best deals and incentives start the day after you've signed the sales agreement.

The 4Runner isn't discounted, there is never factory cash, etc. don't wait to buy hoping for a sale.

Yup, this. Heck, they don't even put 4Rs in commercials. Any/all incentives/discounts will come from the dealer. Generally speaking, the TE is the least likely to be discounted.

I ordered my TE last July, got it delivered in late Sept. I was able to get 5.6% off msrp. Not a great discount, but I could not do any better at other dealers. I'm glad I paid the price and have it now. Been in sand dunes and snow so far, now I want to try some forest trails.

4Runners never go on "sale" However, NEVER pay sticker.
4Runners sell them selfs, and sell well. Thus you will never see a commerical or AD specificly selling them, or advertising "Factory Incentives" for them.

Use THIS website for the absolute best deal plus great haggleing info ( I used this, and it pissed the dealer off :D ) and dont be afraid to haggle even more. Note the certified price at listed dealers is also valid at other dealers becuase they are mostly willing to match other offers or do better just to make a sale ;).

As far as a timeframe to buy, I found that if you show up an hour before closing the friday of a long weekend and draw the proccess out; they are more willing to give in to your demands just so they can go home :D

Yeah it's pretty normal if you search some of the threads about purchase price to see people get 5%-8% off MSRP based on the model and region. So just because Toyota doesn't run sales, you can still get a good deal through negotiation. We practically stole our 13 SR5 4x4, even though by the end we wanted nothing to do with the dealership.

Ok, after negotiating with eight dealerships through e-mails from Central FL to Atlanta, GA on a new or CPO 2010 - 2013 model, we have settled on a new SR5 with our hometown dealer here in Melbourne, FL.

We will be visiting the dealership in person tomorrow to look over the numbers and sign paperwork. We have an e-mail commitment of $36,100 OTD for a new 2013 2WD salsa red SR5, beige leather interior, 3rd row, conv package ...

The dealership will also be including tint all around and a few other extras, worth @ $300 - $400 total. The OTD price was $40,500 before we got them down to the $36,100, so I think we did pretty well.

I'm happy with the outcome, but wanted it NOW and in 4WD, but settled for 2WD and delivery on 5/1. Oh well, I'm almost there. It's like waiting for a child to be born. Come on 4 weeks! Lol

Anyone ever get an additional discount by being a USAA auto insurance member? I know that if you're buying a GMC you can get an additional $750, but what about Toyota?

Thanks

Here's what I paid for a 2013 Trail with KDSS, Nav, all weather mats and front clear mask. No trade.

When someone tells you they got a great deal and had a trade, they have no idea if they got a great deal. There's a reason car dealers call their used inventory "The Bank", that's where they make the most profit and trades are a huge part of that.

Thank-you for allowing us the opportunity to earn your business. Here are the numbers for the Toyota 4Runner you requested. My Stock # 94163

MSRP: $41,860.00
Your Price $ 37,765.82 + Tax and Lic
PLEASE NOTE THIS OFFER EXPIRES WITHIN 3 DAYS.

Go through the Internet manager and ask to see the invoice and see how close you can get. If the timing is right, you may get invoice or little back of invoice.

Congrats on the new vehicle. Not to many Salsa Red 4Runners around here in Melbourne. Ready to start modding?

Congrats! We got our 13' 4x4 with no options except for dealer conv package for $30,975 + tax last September. We made our deal the week before it arrived and picked it up with 2 miles on the odometer.

I would caution that if 4x4 is something you want it may be worth holding out for. Depending on how long you plan on keeping it, it may also be worth it in terms of resale. I don't know if warm weather markets care as much about 4x4 as the rest of the country?

Shouldn't a 2WD 4Runner be called a 2Runner?

I just purchased a 13 SR5 4wd for 35,619 otd. The only options were floor mats, crossbars, third row, and convenience package.

Sorry for the long time since I replied but its been a crazy week negotiating for the 4Runner. We also ended up buying a 2013 Camry while we were there at the dealership and took the Camry home on the spot. The 4Runner will be here on the 22nd. :(

Snow, thats a great price on your 4wd! We have the pleasure of being hit here in the south with a $895 delivery fee from Toyota, just for living here. I wanted the 4wd and maybe in a couple of years if needed, I will pick one up then.

The dealer attempted to slip a few "dealer fees" and "special value packages" in with our $36,100 price, which we declined and finally got the OTD price of $34,600. Our original delivery date was the end of the month and has been moved up to the 22nd, so we're stocked to get it.

Toyota was giving $6000 off the Camry for its March Madness sale, and extended it to April 6th, just enough time for us to negotiate another good deal. We bought the model right off the showroom floor as it came with every bell and whistle (leather, nav, hands free, sunroof, sat radio, paddle shifters, LED's ...) and ended up being @ $20,650 OTD. We traded in our free and clear 2012 Honda Accord and walked out with one payment and two red 2013 Toyotas.

Question - we have been quoted $350 cash for tinting each vehicle in 15% Llumar ceramic tint all around and windshields with their light blue (almost clear) ceramic film (Air Blue?), including sunroofs.

I may decline doing the the sunroofs after reading about them cracking sometimes due to the heat accumulation from installing ceramic.

Any opinions on the pricing and the sunroof situation?

PopsSmith, sorry for the time since I last posted. It's been quite the ride negotiating two new vehicles between half a dozen dealerships this past week. In the end we got what we wanted at a price that we are happy with.

I think that the first "mod" is what everyone most likely does here in FL with a new car - window tint. We have a quote of $350 for ceramic 15% Llumar film all around and will be doing it this weekend.

After that, I think some wheel spacers and Bilstein 5100's to level out the ride will be in order, probably by next month. Once thats done, some additional mods - nav, rear seat entertainment, roof rack and a bicycle mount sometime in June / July before we head up into GA for a much needed vacation.

Any suggestions on where to start or anything that I missed? I'm sure this is just the start .... Lol

There was a $1000 incentive in certain parts of the midwest back in early 2010. That is the only true incentive I've ever seen on the 5th gens.
