x2 ^^^ AT3. I have a few friends running them, they are awesome all around tires.

Same here, I have been looking for 265/75/16 load range C AT tires. I liked Cooper Discoverer STT tires however those are only available in load range E. Seems like GY Duratracs might be the next best option.

Try Hankook DynaPro ATMs
Hankook ATM (all terrain + MUD) -moderately aggressive, very quite on the road-do not negatively affect fuel efficiency-Great offroad-clean themselves-very good on sand, I drive all over cactus no issues and look good they turn the women on-$600 otd at discount tire-Ive got 25k on them w/little evident wear-will definetely buy again. Woohoo! :thumb3:

I'd recommend the General Grabber AT2. Its great for the money and very quiet. Also comes in load range D.

Another on the AT/3's. Recently got them. No complaints. Besides I don't like driving in sand with 35psi.

Well, I've seen Cooper Discoverer H/Ts for around $120, those are pretty good road tires. There are plenty of options, read reviews on tirerack, discount tire, etc.

Cant beat $540 shipped to my door for some proven BFG A/T tread. Have the 285/17's on the wifes expedition for almost two years now and they still look new!

I don't think anyone would like driving in sand with 35psi regardless of what type of tire you're running lol. +/- 6psi sounds about right.

Yeah, doing this for a whole weekend was not great but I didn't want to drop pressure and have to drive back 100 miles with that. Sadly I don't have an air compressor yet.

Easy peasy, I drive back home 70+ miles from the trail every weekend on 8psi. There must be a gas station you can air up at within that hundred miles anyway though? I don't have a compressor either. I'd rather try to eliminate chances of getting stuck than worry about driving on a somewhat low psi on the road.

I have Cooper discoverer ATP's in the size you want. They are a discount tire exclusive tire, but I love them, perform great in the snow(12+ inches), have driven them on the beach, and logging roads with no complaints or worries about losing traction.

Well, there's the overlooked detail that you're running on 35s.
Much less advisable for 265/75/16.

Usually you break tires in by dropping air pressure to stretch them out.
Hardly - if it squats that bad, then air em down to 12psi. All I'm saying is you can drive on the road with low psi. If you guys are that worried about it, just find the nearest gas station and air up. At least you're not stuck in sand, snow, or mud.
