First post here. I have just found out that my current tires are shot. I suspected as much. I live in the Canadian Arctic (Inuvik) where we experience dead cold for 9 months and a short summer. I mainly drive in town but every now and then need to drive (about once a year in the summer) on a 700km long gravel road (Dempster Highway) and then paved highway to Whitehorse. I obviously want to get tires good for packed snow and ice but don't really want to have to switch out tires for a couple of months each year. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what winter tire would be suitable, if any?
